I love this show to death. But. I binge watched the season when it came out, so it's hard to comment on the episodes for fear of revealing something that happens after.

Sorry, I've got so many returning/new network shows, plus the ST:TOS & DS9 re-watches (and my own personal sporadic TNG rewatch), I only have time for Miss Fisher episodes on the weekend. But I've liked just sticking to one episode at a time instead of a binge, knowing that there's only 8 episodes of the season and no word on whether there will be a 4th.

Still, I'm halfway through now, so, I can probably plow through the last 4 this Saturday to get them all posted so that there can be finale discussion, if people would prefer?

No need to be sorry! In addition to binge-watching the season over a couple days, I also have a fantastically terrible memory, and other people might like it this way. I wish this show had more of a presence in other places so it could gain the huge following it deserves.

Though, much as I love Phryne and Jack, I must to admit to feeling Dot has been a tad grating now and again, particularly in the latest season.

(We're now watching Poirot - which I had never seen, and which has LOADS of seasons. Hooray! Not quite as great as Phryne but he'll do. OH! And they just added a season of the Great British Baking Show to Netflix. Not that you asked.)

I like Dot more this season. They've gone out of their way to show her as competent and brave. And she knew just what to do with that dumb priest. Jack is so damn mopey, though. He's not attractive that way.

The thing about Dot is that is learning from Phryne, which is great, but it also makes her a bit smug like Phryne. I don't find it obnoxious though, because the — smugness? smuggitude? smuggicity? — is well-deserved.
