This episode is basically a self-contained Fast and the Furious movie, if that film franchise incorporated actual arcane magicks, rather than just "movie magic." Magnus does some risky jumping. Merle takes a tumble. Taako summons a new best friend.
That was magical.

Casting time for Phantom Steed is 10 minutes. Sorry. I'm all for not letting rules ruin a great play, though, so good no call, GM.

Garyl's introduction was a podcast highlight.
I've never played D&D and not had any interest, but this show (along with the other two or three major D&D podcasts) have really clued me into the collaborative storytelling nature of the game. It sounds really fun. If you have the right players and DM, it's basically improv and lots of fun to listen to.

Yeah, as well as being OK with some DM rule-bending for the sake of an entertaining podcast, I also like the fact that the PCs can surprise Griffin with spells like this and come up with solutions he didn't forsee.
