Welcome to Night Vale on Selected Shorts

This week's episode of Selected Shorts is of interest to Night Vale fans.

If you're not already familiar with it, Selected Shorts is a long-running radio show (and now podcast), mostly devoted to short stories read by actors in front of an audience. Since the death of host Isaiah Sheffer two years ago, it's been running with an array of guest hosts.

This week, Jeffrey Cranor and Joseph Fink are the guest hosts. They selected the stories, which are read mostly by the Night Vale gang. Specifically:

"Prologue to Middletown," by Will Eno; read by Cecil Baldwin
"The Beautiful Stranger," by Shirley Jackson; read by Cecil Baldwin
"Lab Coats," by Yoko Ogawa; read by Marin Ireland
"List of Cross-Dressing Soldiers," by Patricia Lockwood; read by Dylan Marron
"Go Back to the Telephone Booth, Clark Kent, Clark Kent," by Sara Levy; read by Sara Levy, Dylan Marron, and Meg Bashwiner
"Texts from Peter Pan," by Mallory Ortberg; read by Dylan Marron and Mara Wilson

(We don't currently have Selected Shorts on the roster, and this seemed the best place to put this.)

Did Meg Bashwinner read it as Deb, the sentient patch of haze, because if so, I need this in my life so bad.

Hee. That one is mostly Sara Levy, and I would have to say "no"... but none of the characters are named, and it would not be out of character.

You can skip to that bit at 50:56 (with the introduction) or 51:40 (without). It runs till about 54:40.
