Gravity Falls: Weirdmageddon 2: Escape From Reality

In the penultimate episode of the series, Dipper, Wendy, and Soos must rescue Mabel from a bubble of irresistible temptations!

The hour-long series finale will air at some indeterminate time in the future, as Disney XD's programmers are even more random an vexing than Bill Cypher.

Other than they both wear luchador masks, not really.

Red mask, black around the eyes, and the blue stripe is similar in color to the blue gem on Strongbad's mask.

Anyways, I loved this episode. It felt like it was five minutes long because everything happened so fast.

Wow, I thought this one was a bit disappointing after the previous one (though I am glad the twins are back together.)

I must admit I have no idea where the plot is headed now.

Awesome episode. So very G.F. Loved the secondaries hiding out in the Mystery Shack: Manotaur! Multibear! Pacifica! Only one really missing was Mermando.

I loved Mabel-land, just perfect right down to Aoshima whizzing past (the buff flying dolphin from Mabel's sugar trip)

I'm a sucker for the "you must escape this world that gives you everything you want" trope so I loved this one. It reminded me of a more comedic version of Paranoia Agent's final episode. Total apocalypse going on in the real world but you still have to choose to step outside into that world.

It's definitely possible that Strong Bad is being referenced by Soos' father. Matt Chapman works on that show and even did Dippy Fresh's voice on the episode...

In other news, the Cat Judge was Jon Stewart. Good to hear he's still working.

Does anyone here follow the ciphers/cryptograms on the show? The final one in the episode decodes to "WHEN ONE GETS TRAPPED INSIDE THE PAST, DREAMS CAN TURN TO NIGHTMARES FAST" (source) which makes me REALLY curious about the finale. Any thoughts?
