I have trouble thinking of any TV show that's had a more beautifully shot scene than the one where Crichton and Scorpius are standing across the gap as the carrier is dying talking to each other. In a lot of ways, it really feels like the climax of the whole series, season 4 not withstanding.

Love this episode so much. And the music for the scenes of destruction! SPACE. OPERA.

I think that shot, hobgadling, cements for me Scorpius's insistence that it really wasn't personal after all. He could have killed Crichton, but it was pointless.

the man of twists and turns: Its things like that that make this series such a joy to rewatch, everyone's motivations only become clear at the end, then on rewatch you can see all the inflection points beforehand that make more sense now.

This episode is so beautifully shot and I agree, a true space opera. I love seeing the inner workings of a Command Carrier. And Crais' speech to Scorpius. And the water pouring everywhere. Sigh, I miss Farscape. It was bold and took chances (before that was a thing to do).

Add Crais and Talyn to the tally for the Season of Death. I think that is every major character (except Moya and Pilot) who died this season.
