Burnside had it right, the downfall of the Soviet Union came from within.

Sandbagger 2's remark to Willie at the end, "She seemed to be waiting for it. As if she knew it was about to happen" harks back to the first season episode which had a sandbagger trapped behind the border, also the awful one with Laura.

I was impressed by the physicality of Michael Cashman, the actor playing Mike (Sandbagger 2). He looked so at ease in the scene where he was setting up his shot.

Odd episode, so little happens! And Burnside takes terrible risks, with internal politics and with the trust of Sandbagger #2 and then with the mission itself. All to... have someone speak eloquently while on trial inside the Soviet Union? It didn't quite come together for me.
