I felt like there was a narrative excellence about this show that felt somehow dreamlike? Like how the stories were handed off to each other? I dunno. I found it fascinating. I watched the episode three times before making this post.

Another thing I thought this episode did really well was managing to capture both what it means to be really INTO a dance and be feeling on the outside of a dance and make both feel authentic.

This show continually blows me away.

Like, on the one hand I was disappointed at not getting more of the Asian family's story. But on the other hand, the moving from one story to another was, like hippybear said, so well done that it was kind of beautiful to just get these glimpses and then move on.

And it only just dawned on me right now that both family stories here involve generational shifts between parents and their now-adult children.

So, are "day raves" a thing?

So, are "day raves" a thing?

They do seem to be a thing.
