Rocky Horror Picture Show on Fox

Is anyone planning to post a thread for tonight's Rocky Horror Picture Show remake on Fox? Should the thread go up after the show as per Fanfare custom, or should this be a live-blog as per RHPS tradition?

I don't feel like I'm enough of a RHPS fan to be the one setting up the thread, but, I wanted to see what people (and mods) think. I'm in favor of a thread being opened before the show starts, so we can be a little audience-participation-y.

This is a fun idea. I can post it as a Special Event a while before it airs, and folks can come in and watch along and throw toast and so on.

Thanks! (I fear everyone will be live-streaming the Al Smith dinner instead, but maybe some people will want a little break from the Trumpocalypse meltdown watch)

Spoilers

The tv movie seems like the final chapter of a morality tale. One can speculate the hypothetical previous chapters might have been about an alien space mission and its silver uniformed crew, led by respected commander and scientist, Frank. Frank became corrupted by the pleasures of Earth, who led them to abandon the stoic discipline of their homeworld and to adopt native garb and native dancing. And even this was not enough. Frank then violated "a no-contact with the natives" protocol, and exposed the crew to the experience of love through Columbia, and later rock and roll culture through Eddie. And more, Frank abandons interest in the crew and increasingly focuses attention towards the creation of Rocky, an artificial man made to provide pleasure.
The movie spends a little time introducing us to Brad and Janet as people, before they meet Frank and become just another part of Frank's story.

I wish, in this production, Brad and Janet had begun the movie as more earnestly innocent, rather than hamming up their performance.

otherchaz, you should probably repost your comment in the event thread, this one was just the planning post.

I thought that thread was just for folks who were watching it the night of the event.

During and after, both! You can copy your comment and just pop it over there, no problem.
