So, this episode had the most baseball in it since the pilot, I think? The promos kinda spoiled the 'twist' of the photoshoot, but it was still sweet. I'll take my feminism anywhere I can this week.

You know who else is a catcher who homered in his first major league at bat(first pitch, actually)? Willson Contreras! Go, Cubs, Go! Not that I am otherwise comparing Contreras and Duarte. And I think David Ross and Mike Lawson were in pretty different stages of their old clubhouse leader catching careers.
I do like that they are spreading the tragic backstory flashbacks around some. I hope they branch out further and we get an excellent young Blip storyline at some point.
The selfies storyline was a lot more positive than I figured, probably unrealistically so. But it's a good week for a fantasy feminist ally storyline. Let's hope we soon get tragic backstory flashbacks on some of our immigrant characters. Oscar is from Mexico!

I don't know why, but I'm amused at the thought of a Buck & Al comic relief flashback. Like, just a dumb runner of a flashback that doesn't have any significant tie-in to present events.

I don't have a ton to say about this show, but I really enjoy it. It's fun, a little soapy, and using real team names and real baseball places goes a long way for me to suspend disbelief on the baseball parts. Ginny's relationships with Evelyn and Amelia help too.

The selfies storyline was a lot more positive than I figured, probably unrealistically so.

Agreed. I especially liked the detail that Ginny's ex didn't betray her but was hacked.

I'm liking this show a lot. It's become one of my goto weekly shows. I agree about the selfie storyline likely unrealistic but positive. I'm also liking a lot of the little things that take the story in a different way then I assume. It's making me realize how some of my own assumptions. Like in last weeks show when they had the tape the woman took when they were in the bathtub. I just assumed that the woman must have released it and that's how they got it. I went to automatically to her being betrayed and being used. But no the woman gave it to them because she cared and was worried about Ginny. That was nice.

Oh and I loved the use of mansplain.

"I've always wanted to use that word in a conversation"

I cheered.
