Leo tries to convince President Bartlet of the importance of supporting a missile defense plan, while Lord John Marbury (Roger Rees) is appointed British ambassador to the United States. Toby and Sam clash over a speech the President gives to an environmental group. C.J. tries to talk a comedian (Rocky Carroll) out of embarrassing the Bartlet administration.

Over on TWWW, Kim "Ginger" Webster shares the story of how she rose from atmosphere to recurring character.

Leo has never read the funny pages, because he was born at the age of 55.

I applaud the return of Robin Colcord Lord John Marbury. I love that he's crazy while still having the chops to be an excellent ambassador. I'm hoping he appears fairly regularly to forget who Leo is.

After rewatching this episode again recently, I wonder if LJM is messing with Leo by pretending to forget his name.
