Anyone interested in Salvation?

Salvation is a CBS summer "event" series in the U.S. about an asteroid on a collision course with Earth, and the various earthlings in government and the private sector who are engaged in trying to prevent the impact.

It's not profound science fiction. It's the sci-fi equivalent of Quantico if that gives you a clue. Kind of dumb summer filler, but the few episodes I've watched are reasonably entertaining.

I think it's a 10-episode show, so it could be an all-episodes thread.

Yeah, it's kind of the cultural equivalent of eating at Burger King, but my partner's out of town for a couple weeks and this is the kind of show I can watch without "Netflix cheating" on her.

I tried to stick with it; I really did. Phil Plait was a science consultant for the show, so I had some hope. But rather than the end-of-the-world SF technodrama that I had hoped for, I found that it quickly became a dully plotted political thriller with too few characters who did everything, who's motivations and actions made no sense, poor science, and dialog that was dull and predictable. I bounced after eight episodes.

I watched under the same premise as you (Netflix cheating!) over a few nights. I rank it as dumb but fun.
