With incredible empathy, intelligence, and candor, Jodi Picoult tackles race, privilege, prejudice, justice, and compassion—and doesn’t offer easy answers. Small Great Things is a remarkable achievement from a writer at the top of her game.

I just finished this book and I did so in about 3 days. I couldn't put this book down. Except for the spots where I had to put it down because I couldn't keep reading the narrative of a white supremacist. Great book. Difficult subject handled well at least from my white, privileged perspective. The edition I wrote had an informative author's note and an interview of the author by Celeste Ng.

My edition also included a short story of Ruth as a child. Really makes me want to meet Ruth.
