That being said, the rest of the collection is good: "The Narwhal" and "The Low Hum of Her" were two of my other favorites.
"The Lonely Seafarer" felt like it was going somewhere, but I felt a little dissatisfied at the ending. And I could have used more of "The Sewell Home" - it's incredibly short. It sounds like Pinsker's novel is going to be set in the same world - or maybe a similar one - as "Our Lady of the Open Road". Which, well, seemed like it was all setting, so it'd be interesting to see what happens with a plot.
