Movie: Creepshow 2

[TRAILER] This second horror anthology presents more eerie tales based on Stephen King stories. One episode finds a cigar-store Native American statue coming to life to avenge the death of the shop owner (George Kennedy) and his wife (Dorothy Lamour). Another features a group of teens menaced by a blob-like creature. The final installment follows a wealthy and callous woman (Lois Chiles) who hits a hitchhiker with her car and decides to flee the scene, but the victim isn't inclined to remain dead. [more inside]

[TRAILER] Inspired by the E.C. comics of the 1950s, George A. Romero and Stephen King bring five tales of terror to the screen. In one story, a monster escapes from its holding cell. Another focuses on a husband (Leslie Nielsen) with a creative way of getting back at his cheating wife. Movie: Black Sabbath

This horror anthology by Mario Bava consists of three separate tales introduced by Boris Karloff and based on stories by Tolstoy, de Maupassant, and Chekhov. In "The Telephone," Rosy (Michèle Mercier) receives threatening telephone calls from an unseen stalker. In "The Wurdulak", a man named Gorca (Karloff) returns to his family after claiming to have slain a Wurdulak, an undead creature who attacks those that it had once loved. "The Drop of Water" centers on Helen Corey (Jacqueline Pierreux), a nurse who steals a ring from a corpse being prepared for burial and finds herself haunted by the ring's original owner. SyFy launches its new horror anthology with a story based on Kris Straub's creepypasta, "Candle Cove" (original story.) In the debut episode, a child psychologist investigates the 1988 murders of several children in his hometown, including his own twin brother. A half-forgotten kids' TV show from the 1980s seems strangely connected. The series is produced by Max Landis (Chronicle).
