A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. . . .
Commander Benajmin Sisko gets sent to his new, unwelcome assignment aboard a space station in the Bajoran sector where he meets some hostile aliens. One of whom is his First Officer. A surprising discovery is made which will ultimately affect the balance of power in the entire quadrant. Sisko also makes contact with two people who have changed form - his new security officer and a very old friend. Much hostility and change ensues, both in his personal and professional lives.
