Mr Inbetween: Season One

"Mr Inbetween" is a half-hour comedy series inspired by the cult film "The Magician." Juggling a relationship, parental responsibilities, friendships, and a sick brother while earning a living would be difficult for anyone, but it's particularly difficult for Ray since he's a criminal for hire.

I've seen the poster a bunch of times, and I thought it was for a new season of Happy, with a marketing twist of renaming the show. I really thought that was Christopher Meloni in the rearview mirror.

Powered through S1. Now I have to watch The Magician I guess!

Scott Ryan is really enjoyable as the likable competent thug.

Kinda wish the episodes were longer and it had time to develop things out more fully. I kept feeling like, "This whole season would be like, a fifth of what goes on in an AMC type show season. Of course I'd rather have it be good and short than long and overblown.
