I do love the create a second character from someone we've already seen gimmick, and thus liked this one. I thought the scene too of finding the bicycle in the muck and mire was well shot. The whole event came across as pretty upper class, I think I'm lacking the cultural knowledge to know exactly how bougie this event is meant to be. Solid episode though all around.

I was very confused and had to replay the opening scene again, trying to sort out the relationship between all the characters. I think there was some funny business with switching the POV camera angles too. Also wouldn’t the “man with the bushy beard” have to buy a ticket at the first station (and therefore be noticed) before getting off at the second? Bad luck scheduling the murder the weekend that Poirot was there but I don’t suppose Zoe could’ve kept up with the double role for another week. And WHAT was that meal Poirot was rhapsodizing about?

My family constantly uses the line where Poirot says, "One can leave?!" at almost every social gathering.
