The Men Who Stare at Goats (2009)

A reporter in Iraq might just have the story of a lifetime when he meets Lyn Cassady, a guy who claims to be a former member of the U.S. Army's New Earth Army, a unit that employs paranormal powers in their missions.
One of my favorites! A 100% comfort movie for me.
The actors are all fantastic. Ewan McGregor is a marvel at playing the earnest idiot, and Clooney (“sparkly eyes technique”) just commits 100%.
Stephen Root - one of my all-time favorite character actors - just adds to the glee.
The movie is hilarious. And I was thinking on a recent re-watch how much they invested in terms of budget and filming to all of the tiny, brief flash-back scenes. I love this movie. Hands-down my favorite Jedi redemption arc.
