A maturing young girl and her mother live isolated in the 15th Century Alps, shunned from the local villagers, when the mother falls ill and delirious from plague. As the mother's health declines and takes her, the girl finds herself carrying on alone into adulthood to fend for herself as she was raised.

Very good film, immersive and meditative to a degree that might feel a bit tedious to people expecting something more straightforward.

Soundtrack by Greek group MMMD/Mohammad also highly recommended.
