Florida Man: Welcome to Hell, Mike
June 21, 2023 4:21 PM - Season 1, Episode 2 - Subscribe

After a familiar face brings news of a treasure hidden in Florida, Mike changes course and a key connection steers him closer to what he believes is his.

The fun continues as the bright Florida sun shines on a mock-noir runaround. Delly’s not dead, and she doesn’t want to be. They knew Hell would be hot but weren’t ready for the humidity. Mike’s dad is playing all the angles, while his brother-in-law has a new Japanese toilet. Clark Gregg’s [Agent Coulson] side story continues, he just has to have that sidearm. Turn right for Canada, left for South America.

Apparently (according to Rotten Tomatoes) everyone hates this, but I think it is pretty good. I have only watched the first 2 episodes, but it seems like a good balance of mystery, humor, and hijinks.

I really enjoyed this, glad I’m not -quite- the only one. Kept me entertained, plot managed to surprise me a few times, and I liked the cast. Came across like the product of a messy 3 way bender involving Carl Hiaasan, John D. MacDonald and Elmore Leonard.

We just watched the first two episodes and so far it has been really fun, utterly absurd in parts but always in a way that kept me laughing and interested.
