When a man's family is murdered, and one of the killer's goes free, he sets about destroying the system that deprived him of justice.
Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) watches his wife and daughter be murdered by two men during a home invasion. While both men are apprehended, Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx) deems the case to difficult to win without the testimony of one of the killers (Darby) against the other (Ames). Shelton is shattered by Rice offer a plea deal to the other of the killers.
But when Ames's execution goes terribly wrong, it's clear that Shelton is out to destroy not just the criminals who killed his family, but anyone who was part of the system that let one of them go free. Featuring Leslie Bibb, Colm Meany, Bruce McGill, and Viola Davis. Directed by Felix Gary Gray and written by Kurt Wimmer

This was on some cable channel all the time about six months ago, so I saw it a few times. As it is, its a magical smart guy using the system for his own ends for great justice. I thought the end deserved to be a little more spelled out, but in a movie where a cellphone explodes at just the right time, among many other tricks, it's probably expecting a lot. I'd like to see an unedited version, not that I'd get more out of it, but just to know I've seen the whole thing.
