I'm not sure I'm enjoying this series in any literal sense right now, because of the traumatic nature of the content-- and knowing that this kind of thing actually happened. But the actors are fantastic. In both Lorna's and Colman's cases, I have enjoyed meeting people from their pasts. It was a treat in this episode to see Colman's family.

Some of the shitty characters (priests; law enforcemement; beaurocrats) would be great fun to watch if you were in the right mindset, like if it was your typical BBC crime drama. It just hits different to me because it doesn't feel like fiction.
