Kathryn Newton absolutely carries the movie. Her performance seems very authentic to me.
The idea of setting up the household computers to spy on everyone was an interesting way to carry forward the "found footage" concept. The Kinect trickery was spooky.
I was a bit taken aback by Alex walking out of the house carrying her computer around. Maybe people do that around the house, I dunno, but outside? And I didn't care for the scene in the garage. The "attack" didn't seem to fit the motif of the PA movies. (What? "Toby" can drive a car?) (It also seemed like a callback to The Car.)
Still, it's a solid film that seems to wrap up the PA series. (PA: Ghost Dimension was not great.)

I feel like this one is a little underrated too. The Kinect imagery is some of the creepiest in the whole series, the creepy kid is creepy, and we get a lot more lore. I didn't much care for the end but it does have some great details, like how all the windows in the house next door are newspapered over.

As camera gimmicks in the series go, the Kinect is second only to the oscillating fan from PA3. Wonderful use of a common household thing, you know?

The Kinect/night vision scenes are great, Kathryn Newton starts her scream queen journey, and Yard Full of Creepy Karens is a banger closing image.
