Is it as funny as the trailers make me hope for (but fear the worst for)?

It's funny.

I think the humor eventually goes too broad with the psychiatrist character (nothing wrong with the actor or performance; it's all a problem with the script) and makes the movie into more of a farce... but only in spots. It feels off. The mix-up that sets up the main plot is kinda far fetched in this era of cell phones. The bad guys aren't really very interesting. But overall? It was a decent flick.

It's funny. It's a "turn on the tv and turn off the brain" film.

I watched most of it last night and laughed out loud a lot.

The Boston sights are fun, like the local ice rink dedicated to 1980 Olympian Mike Eurizione (actually located in Everett?).

The story is a nothing on which to hang so much dialogue, which I loved. And the character of Da Mayor is cartoonish and yet wonderful.

I can rarely sit still for a whole movie, but this one did it for me.

Casey Affleck may not be a good person but he pulls off the talkative criminal and he had good chemistry with Damon. It was all right and solid, though it never really got super funny. Overall I enjoyed this movie more than I disliked it -- and I kind of despise Boston crime movies.

My SO and I tried to guess what the $32,480 would be for and she came up with "hockey camp" which was a fun thing to say in a Boston accent over and over. Then she added, "and child support". She kinda nailed it.

Someone in the Wolfs thread said they liked it better than this, but I think this one worked a lot better. I'm typing it here for some reason.
