[TRAILER] A group of aspiring rappers unknowingly run afoul of both a violent gangsta rap mogul (Ice T) and an ancient evil after stealing a forbidden treasure. As their dreams of fame turn into a nightmare, they find themselves fighting for their lives as the ruthless, rhyme-spitting Leprechaun (Warwick Davis) and his Zombie Fly Girls pursue them through Compton.
Directed by Rob Spera. Screenplay by Doug Hall, Jon Huffman. Story by William Wells, Alan Reynolds, Rob Spera, Doug Hall. Based on characters created by Mark Jones. Produced by Bruce David Eisen, Mike Upton, Darin Spillman for Trimark Pictures. Cinematography by Michael Mickens. Edited by J.J. Jackson. Music by Nicholas Rivera.
The film is 33% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, which I get, but to be fair, it is pretty close to being the greatest Leprechaun vs. rappers slasher sequel possible.

Man, I saw Leprechaun In Space (4?) on the TV Guide last night and strongly considered it, but I haven't seen the prequels yet and I didn't want to be lost in the plot. They're on the list, though!

You know, I presumed Warwick Davis was like 70, because I've really only ever seen him in heavy makeup and I know he was an Ewok and that was 42 years ago (!!!), but I learned yesterday that he was only 13 when Return of the Jedi was made! He was apparently a huge Star Wars fan, and Mark Hamill bought him all the action figures he didn't already own. I think that's great!

This is one of those Fanfare posts where I only clicked on it to verify that it actually exists and DoT isn't making them up to boost his FF post count.

There was a time when I thought I could make a tradition of watching this and Leprechaun 4 every St. Paddy's day. It didn't stick.

Ice T does his every line with a completely straight face. The whole thing is far less racist than I expected and has closer to a Friday-level semi-lived-in-even-if-cartoonish vibe than I expected. They did find some time for a transphobic plot about "Miss Fontaine" though.
The Leprechaun being a big fan of rhyming, he catches on quickly to rap. Here's his rap from the end.
