Combines police procedural with Latin melodrama, an acid Western sensibility similar to the French adaptation of Giraud and Charlier’s Blueberry graphic novels, Coppola’s Apocalypse Now, Jodorowsky, the countercultural The Teachings of Don Juan books, and elements of Herzog’s Aguirre.
