Movie: Happy End

[TRAILER] A man's life story is shown backwards, even as he narrates it as though it is forwards. He recounts his birth from a guillotine, being raised in a prison, etc. Events occur backwards, people are born from death, conversations proceed in reverse order, variously resulting in sheer situational comedy or dadaist nonsense. [TRAIILER] In Czech director Jan Švankmajer's surreal adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic children's book, Alice (Kristýna Kohoutová) follows her stuffed rabbit through a portal inside her dresser to be whisked away to Wonderland. While the White Rabbit, Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat are still present, the familiar magical world and bizarre characters have undergone an unsettling transformation in the director's vision through the stop-motion animation of dead animals, puppets and other assorted objects. Movie: Tomorrow I'll Wake Up and Scald Myself with Tea

[TRAILER] Former Nazi Klaus Abard survives to the 1990s by taking anti-ageing pills. He plans to use a time travel trip to return to Germany in 1944 and present Hitler with a hydrogen bomb, so that he can win the war. Unfortunately the pilot, woman-chasing Karel Bures, dies on the morning of the trip and his earnest twin brother Jan impersonates him, without knowing about the plot. [more inside]
