"this isn't corn muffins" damn near broke my heart :-(

although i wish we get more resolve with Pulse other than Thunderbird just knocking him out.

I continue to be baffled by this show hiring Amy Acker and then giving her some really, really dull stuff to work with. She's capable of being compelling on screen, but man, I just want her character in this to go away. More Eclipse and the cartel lady, though, please, as that is actually a plot complication (much like the hospital run) that seems plausible for grey-hat mutants.

I'm waiting for Amy Acker's character to go mutant, because where else did the genes come from?

the dad, obvs, but we'll learn at the end of the season that he suffered some trauma that suppressed it. You can't put Stephen Moyer in a show like this and not give him some powers.

but yes, ditto the thoughts on Amy Acker. I want more from her, even if she has to leave the show to do it.

I don't know, I think I'd be disappointed if the Strucker parents ever get powered up. There's more drama to be mined in the family relationship from them not being mutants, and skills they bring to the fight. Mostly I just really loved the confrontation between Reed and Polaris in the prison truck, and I want Reed to have to continue to atone for his past behavior. Giving him powers would let his character off the hook.

I agree, but if they were going to make one of them mutants, I would expect it to be Moyer. I'm enjoying the current dynamic, too, and hope it won't change, but I don't have high hopes for these shows.

I'm growing increasingly impatient with the mutants' refusal to use force against the Sentinel Services guys. The SS shoot to kill at the drop of a hat. Polaris could have taken out their entire strike team and her personal nemesis. Why didn't she?
