Pod Save America: “The perpetual bullshit machine.”
December 18, 2017 3:33 PM - Subscribe

Trump and his state-run media conspire to undermine a federal investigation, Republicans in Congress enrich themselves with their tax plan, and Democrats have to decide what they're willing to fight for. Then Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams joins Jon, Jon, and Tommy to talk about the new political reality of the South, and activist Ady Barkan talks about his plane encounter with Senator Jeff Flake. Elsewhere in the Crooked Universe...

Also Jon and Dan talk the Alabama special election with Doug Jones and talk to Cory Booker about protecting DREAMers and saving CHIP.

Crooked Conversations - What Has Fox News Done to America?: A conversation between Gabe Sherman, author of “The Loudest Voice In The Room,” and Tommy Vietor of Pod Save America and Pod Save The World about the rise of Roger Ailes and how Fox News has influenced American politics.

With Friends Like These - Turning Off the Gaslight
: Rebecca Carroll gives us her perspective on an aspect of #MeToo we should be talking about more: the denigration of black women. Amy Sullivan helps us unpack a listener question about abortion, religion and politics.

Pod Save the World - Infiltrating al Qaeda
: Tommy interviewed undercover FBI agent Tamer Elnoury about his work penetrating and disrupting an al Qaeda cell plotting attacks in Canada and the United States. They discussed what it was like to live with and pretend to become a terrorist, including having to visit the Ground Zero memorial with a man who took pride in the 9/11 attacks and wanted to repeat them. His book, AMERICAN RADICAL, is great – read it!

Majority 54 - The Border Wall: It’s hard to think of a more polarizing issue than the wall Trump wants to build on our southern border. The conversation you’re about to hear was recorded in a wooden barn, on Tony Sedgwick’s ranch in Nogales, Arizona. As you’ll hear, Tony’s objection isn’t just about keeping the government off his property. As an independent-minded conservative westerner, he fundamentally disagrees with the President’s wall and calls it a bunch of hooey.

Lovett or Leave It - Roll Tidings of Comfort and Joy: Doug Jones wins! Omarosa is chopped or whatever. And Lovett or Leave It closes the books on 2017 with a holiday AKA Christmas spectacular. Favreau and Vietor compete to remember all the people Trump fired. Kara Brown, Colton Dunn, and Alice Barker join to discuss everything from Alabama to bitcoin. Ira Madison III of “Keep It” stops by for OK, Stop. And Tim Miller takes us back to the Cuck Zone one last time. Weird year. See you in 2018!

Pod Save the People - You are Already Political : Sam, Brittany and DeRay discuss the week’s news, and Clint joins for a special spoken word message about who in society is deemed worthy of our empathy. DeRay sits down with Tom Wheeler, former FCC Chairman, to help us understand net neutrality and the upcoming FCC vote on December 14. Sinéad Burke joins to talk about disability activism, including her experience as a little person and teacher.

Also, DeRay talks Doug Jones with DNC Chair Tom Perez.

Is anyone else as bugged by the use of the word cuck as I am?

I imagine that Tim Miller's twitter mentions are filled with the word "cuck," so I get him trying to make it his own.

Stacey Abrahms has me ready to vote for her to do anything. Ady Barkan was awesome in his total takeover of his interview and the podcast.

Even though I'd already watched the Omarosa clip with Michael Strahan and Robin Roberts, listening to it as an "Okay, stop" with Ira Madison was even better than I thought.
