There's so much more that's great about this episode, but the breakmaster cylinder episode really did make me want to relisten to the twilight to starlight disk of mellon collie because I couldn't remember the track listing on that one.

But no I think the best part was Alex being so happy about being the creepiest in the song competition.

I'm not done listening to the ep yet, but the bit with the creepy phone call competition is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. (Good thing the bus wasn't crowded this morning, people woulda been staring at me laughing so hard!)

Yes! The inclusion of Lyndon Johnson crassly ordering custom pants in the creepy phone call was just... I was driving and full-on cracking up driving down the interstate.

Alex clearly did a better job on the creepy phone call, but the LBJ phone call (which I hadn't heard before) was the highlight of my drive into work this morning.

I heard that Lyndon Johnson call somewhere else not that long ago, but I can't remember where. I am pretty sure it was a podcast. What a delight to hear it again.

The LBJ call is a great example of mansplaining as it's a layman explaining how pants work to a tailor.

The creepy audio clips were both fantastic. It'd be great to hear the full length versions. As much as I love Reply All, I now kinda wish they'd pivot into a full time Joe Frank / David Franks / Blue Jam style dark, non-narrative audio art format. They're really good at this sort of thing.

radioamy, I think the LBJ thing was brought up on Bruce Campbell's latest appearance on the Nerdist podcast.

So much great here, but the thought of getting really into owls in 2017 was definitely something I needed.

Mister Moofoo: yes! I think they actually pulled up the clip on YouTube and played it during the episode. Thanks, that was bothering me.

There's a nice little animation of the LBJ recording from a few years ago. What an unselfconsciously vulgar man.

I was screech-laughing during the LBJ prank call.

I'm actually not surprised that the Longmont Potioncastle superfan won the benignly-creepy-prank-call contest!

Anyway, combining weird sound art, PJ and Alex ribbing each other, and LBJ talking about his bunghole is all I needed from this episode. I felt like I didn't even deserve the owl.
