The first of 4 HBO specials from comedy duo, and Cocoa Khaleesis, Jessica Williams and Phoebe Robinson. Directed by Tig Notaro. Airs on HBO, Fridays at 11:30pm.

Special guest stars Jon Stewart and NY pizza. The series was born out of their 2 dope queens podcast. The stand-up guests for the first episode were Michelle Buteau, Mark Norman, and Baron Vaughn ('Grace and Frankie').

It's fascinating to realize they met on The Daily Show and have been working together for only 2 or 3 years. The laidback style is great. They were funny and engaging.

Michelle and Baron had very funny sets. Skip Mark's set. It was tonedeaf and out of sync with the rest of the show. And not funny.

Yeah this episode was fantastic ... except Mark. My husband couldn’t understand what I meant when I described him but when he watched his jaw was practically on the floor with how bad and unfitting it was. It was racist and sexist. We both wonder if that was a booking they weren’t fully in charge of and they seemed to dismiss him pretty quick as he left the stage.

Otherwise, super fantastic. Even a second time through. I loved Baron’s super on point impression of that doc. He’s fantastic on Grace and Frankie and MST3K.

Jon was so hilarious. We love how “dad” he is to them and as a person. It’s great to see him a bit laid back even though I miss him all the time on late night commentary.

And yess Michelle. She was so funny. And gorgeous.

I can’t wait for more of this!!!
