Ralph was absolutely right. Barry is an idiot (or a moron or whatever insult he used). Finally, somebody said it to his face.

There was a whole lot of that episode that didn't make sense, including Joe suddenly becoming a master swordsman, or at least good enough with the blade to defeat the samurai, and Mrs. DeVoe managing to deflect Iris' laser shots with a sword (since when did she gain super powers?).

So now that Harry has fried his brain how are they going to fix it? Or will they? Will this become Harry's new persona, bumbling, slightly dense nice guy?

ugh. that was hard to watch. i hate it when they make a character likable and then kill them in a really disappointing way. and not only that, like others have said, building up this conviction to not killing and then having it fail really makes me question the integrity of the show.

yeah the samurai stuff was out of left field, but the not killing thing was also out of left field, as was the "be serious" thing last week. discussion about approaching battle and personalities should've been done earlier in the season. they felt really out of sync these last two weeks. but i guess no more superhero lessons are necessary.

... yeah, this season has been a huge downer since DeVoe started murdering people left and right, and this episode left me wondering why I'm even still watching. I'm gonna run out the season, but at this point it's basically just the sunk cost fallacy talking. The finale will have to be amazing to redeem all this.
