Also, I appreciate that the show is being very careful about showing actual children on screen - no shots of Sherlock and Joan interacting with the sick child at the house, or baby photographs, nothing to go into overt sentimentality. I wish they'd take more risks with the camera-work, but Bryan Fuller pretty much wrecked TV for me there, so in a way I like the quiet blue-grey-brown palette of Elementary.
