I spent a Summer a few years back watching as many movies as I could about the early days of AIDS, and I think this might have been the one that kicked it off for me.

This film was so well done. It was devastating, chilling, and raw. The scene in Arizona absolutely wrecked me and I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to "The Only Living Boy in New York" without tearing up again.

I wish the story it was telling wasn't so focused on cis white men, but I'm assuming that was Larry's world and social circle, and that was the story he was most able to tell.

I think the play is better seen performed rather than read.
