Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Black 22
September 6, 2018 10:21 PM - Season 1, Episode 3 - Subscribe

Drone pilot Victor struggles with the immense responsibility attached to his job. Jack and Greer join French Intelligence officers on a mission to track down Suleiman's brother. Hanin is forced to make a dangerous decision for the sake of their children.

i don’t see how Victor isn’t court-martialed. I’m pretty sure that disobeying a direct order is still disobeying a direct order even if that order would have been different at a later time.

The “bad guys” and their story continues to be the more interesting part of the show for me.

I agree that the "bad guys" are the vastly more interesting storyline, but when Beecher introduced himself as Stanley Kowalski, I knew that Polizzi was in for some trouble.

Can someone explain the relevance of Polizzi and Garcia's plotline? Although I suppose that would constitute a spoiler since it isn't wrapped up for a while. Feel free to memail me or post it in the appropriate thread? It seemed like a couple of people shoehorned in; you don't need an extended plotline over multiple episodes to work in that hellfire shot.

Suspect that it's a small sub-arc of the show; sort of how there were multiple takes on the drug trade in Soderburgh's "Traffic" that were loosely related.

I think it was for a) boobs and b) to show how Victor is on his way to rock bottom.

I agree with that. What I'm wondering is why Victor was in the show at all. The hellfire missile could have been fired by a spear carrier.

Ah, I see. I’m presuming he’ll show up in later episodes — this is as far as I’ve gotten.

He literally multiplied his blood money. It was both horrible and funny, I thought that was well done.
