I cannot wait to listen to this, but I'm going to read the Vanity Fair article first. I can't help myself.

I'm guessing $3,000 is a lot less than what it would cost to sponsor a single episode of MBMBAM, so Dreamworks are getting good value for their scale here.

Counterpoint, they could have sold three bit parts to the highest bidder.

This is all fantastic.
I love that they will probably spend their whole fee getting to the premiere after flight, hotels, etc. Dreamworks didn’t have to do them dirty like that but maybe they don’t want to send the message that this is a profitable endeavor for anyone else.

I also thought it was funny how they probably did need to go bolster their voice acting resumes and this wasn’t just an attention-getting stunt. I HATE those. I’m also really glad to see them branching out into voice work!

I love how transparent they’re being about this whole thing. It feels like going on a field trip. You get a little break from the every day, you learn something new up close. I want more McElroy field trips!

I like how now each one of them had successful ideas for both solo podcast projects and additional group ones (Griffin=adventure zone, Travis= Til death do we blart, Justin=this one). They are really good at producing content and I really enjoy their content and looking forward to whatever is next.

Amazing that that actually did this. And I love that Travis’s Piss shirt is forever memorialized in the Vanity Fair article.

This has made me much happier than it should. I’m just so happy that the world still does sometimes reward the best (or at least silliest) of us.

Kinda surprised they didn’t offer Vanity Fair the sponsor spot in exchange for the cover story

Significantly less. I looked into it once for work, and at this point it's somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-10K.

I really like the idea of them getting 10k.

Oh man, this is amazing! I really hope that the three characters are in the same scene together. Can you imagine if the two tears are in a scene alone, without the beat box? Can you imagine, our good good boys being broken up like that?

I love just how perfectly the ending quotes in the article encapsulate their three personalities, and their chemistry. Justin starts out with self-deprecating humor, Travis responds by going exactly the other direction, and then Griffin breaks the bit. So perfect.

This podcast also got Joel a big-name client.
