I had a better opinion of this episode than the reviews did. I thought it was a great episode focused on Caitlin and it let Danielle Panabaker show her acting skills. And the bit about DeVoe using Brainstorm's powers to mentally block Killer Frost was kind of clever. It made sense that he didn't want to simply redirect her powers since he was fighting all the heroes, but get rid of it for at least a while.

Icicle was not a huge surprise, but it's a decent twist in a parental-heavy season. And now they have another recurring villain to work with.

The plot with Cecille and Ralph was pretty great too, I liked that she still has her mojo but just needed to control her empath abilities.

However I'm not buying Nora and Iris getting close so quickly after the last episode. I guess it's more Nora's doing, pushing another parent to spend time with her. At least they didn't get a private handshake down yet.

So are we supposed to semi-sympathize with Cicada that he took down a meta that was hurting people? At least that's what they're implying right? With all the people in the hospital injured from "razor attacks"? It kind of sucks that they killed off Razorsharp so quickly, but I can see that it'd be hard to fit her in with such a packed show.

This one didn't do it for me at all and I found all of the subplots annoying, particularly Sherloque singing. I love Tom Cavanaugh, but this Wells grates on me so much. Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood for it.

However, in my weekly "Where's Eobard Thawne?" tracker, I'll point out that Cisco longingly looked at a photo of Team Flash from Season 1 including Thawne-as-Wells in the wheelchair.

I thought the whole bit with Caitlin's father was just overkill. They could have come up with a much simpler, neater explanation for both his and her powers. Plus, that entire bit with the DOD facility and laser just hurt my head for a number of reasons, including the fact that everybody seemed to know about this technology (which would have surely been classified or secret, or at least not publicly disclosed) and that there were absolutely zero DOD personnel in the facility that needed to be overcome before Daddy Frost and Team Flash could just waltz in there.

I really like Cecile, but even I know that you just can't ask for medical files without a warrant due to privacy regulations. As a DA who knows FEMA inside and out, she shouldn't have even contemplated that, and should have been happy that the FEMA dude told her to get a warrant, because that's the proper procedure according to the law she is supposed to be upholding.

Glad they got that little bit of fan service in there with Ralph's nose, even if we are unlikely to see it again.

It's the second time we've seen Ralph's nose twitch and I *love* it.

Hartley Sawyer is, physically, the perfect casting for that character, in a way that we really haven't seen in anything DC related since, like, Christopher Reeve as Superman.
