I wanted to like this movie, and I mostly did, but at times it seemed to take itself waaaaay too seriously and become unintentionally comic (and many of the parts that were supposed to be funny fell flat).

Portman's accent was an unconvincing distraction at times, but I also wonder if that was intentional.

It felt too self-important on the whole, but also worked surprisingly well as a commentary on our current political and media environment.

I don't think it was good -- the accent thing really was not helpful to whatever they were trying to do -- but I enjoyed watching it to the end. That's increasingly unusual for me.
