Doom Patrol: Paw Patrol
March 15, 2019 1:45 PM - Season 1, Episode 5 - Subscribe

With the Apocalypse in full swing, the Doom Patrol must work with an unlikely ally to stop the end of the world.

The cockroach is hilarious. I'm slightly miffed the rat didn't get a voice.

I really enjoyed Tudyk in this episode, but man the evilness is so evil. I really thought he was engineering Jane/Dr. Harrison to be lobotomized in the past.

I kinda loved this whole thing so far. What a fun show! Still no idea why Mr Nobody is seemingly creating the "Doom Patrol" but I can't wait to find out!

Yeah, that was fun. I think my favorite detail were the psych patients embellishing the Recreator's story - that reminded me way too much of every time I've ever run a roleplaying game.

Also, the exchange between the roach and the rat about cheese was, indeed, absolute gold.

I have no idea where this is going, and whenever I try to stop and think, "hey, logically this doesn't make much sense," I find myself quickly shutting that thought process down, because heading down that path would mean having to abandon the wild ride this show is taking us on, and I'd really rather just hang on and enjoy the ride.

This touched a *little* bit of a nerve re:mental health and how public/ population-level is (not) funded.

I'm coming into this a few weeks late, because Morrison/Case Doom Patrol was huge for me when I was first getting into comics and I was real sure I did not need a TV show about it, but man, I'm enjoying the hell out of this.

Someday soon someone's going to make a supercut of Robot Brendan Fraser's cornucopia of virtuosic WHAT THE FUCKs, and it will be a blessing on this fallen world.

An adorable pug helps save the world? Seems about right.

"You're never going to wear one of these ever again." A nicely observed touch, that.
