In the cold open, gang member Manuel Pedro Antonio "Paco" Bolin meets up with members of a rival gang. Everyone speculates as to the cause of the fire in the house across the street, Paco helps David find his inner gangster, Brenda is invited to dinner, and Ruth catches Nate eating out before dinner.

My favorite episode so far. Turns out I really like ghosts like Paco and Nate, Sr. Not as great as Oliver in Slings & Arrows, but after all...that ghost, that show, still unmatched.

When Nate and David were little they used to play Addams Family together and David was always Lurch. Because of course he was.

Claire likes to pose as much badder and tougher than she is.

Ruth's determined effort to act as though nothing untoward had happened at dinner was hilarious in its repressive gentility. "Squash?"

I loved to see David taking the first few steps towards owning who he is.

Rico has worked for the Fishers for years and David still doesn't know where he's from. Damn.

BOLIN, Manuel Pedro Antonio (20) died February 15. He graduated from Echo Park High School in 1999. Manuel leaves behind his loving girlfriend Sylvie Castillo and devoted parents Charles and Loretta.

Funeral Services this Saturday at Fisher & Sons funeral home. Funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday February 18 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Echo Park. You will be in our hearts forever.
