Andrés and Úrsula plan a fake dream to help a doctor's insomnia patient fall asleep; Renaldo's skills as a makeup artist are put to the test on Bianca's film set; Tati stumbles into a solution to her debt problem.
I love everyone in this bar but especially Tati.
The J-Lo dress and extensions to the Jackie O look - fantastic. Also, I loved the explanation to why Tati is Tati - I want to rewatch the series to see if what she says makes any more sense.
I'm glad that Andrés got to experience the most important part of being featured in an arranged marriage: having a trusted confidante give you advice while cinching up your corset.
Also, I enjoyed the fake-out with the adoption story and the Juan Carlos story. Though there are still so many questions - Why does Andres have a demon? Who was Gregoria Santos #8? Will Úrsula be able to fend off major network pressure to become a traditionally beautiful and emotionally vacant Gregoria Santos #9?
We better get another season of this.

I'm glad that these threads exist - watching this show has been such a surreal experience, if we don't get additional seasons I think I'd eventually feel like I'd hallucinated the whole thing.
So, is there some telenovela convention that explains why Andrés' parents' faces were always obscured from the camera? Or was it just a running joke for the sake of a running joke?

God I just love this show so much. Down to the Michel Gondry-esque dream sequence at the end, it was all just so fucking wholesome and beautiful and funny and I can never get enough of that stuff.

I loved how Juan Carlos showed genuine affection for Tati after the wedding and hope they'll be very happy together. Cake now is better than cake later.
I need more of this show like Insomnia Patient One needs the horror that Los Espookys create. For people who need it.

I don't know if it's strictly telenovela as much as 'heightened melodramatic visuals' (thinking on this, I more associate it with anime). I can't pinpoint a specific reference, but if you want to brave TV tropes, it's a version of the faceless.

Yay! This was such a delightful show! Sweet, weird, queer, funny, low stakes. Perfect for watching with my teen. As a bonus we're practicing our Spanish for a trip to Mexico in February - I'm going to watch the series again with the subtitles off.
