This is only a recap of the series up until Kaworu pops off. It doesn't have anything from End of Evangelion in it, the only new material is Shinji practicing his cello.

I included this one out of completeness' sake, maybe we should yank it if it's truly just a rehash of everything?

It's at least higher visual quality in aspect ratio and more Hi-Def-ish which IMHO makes a good bit of difference. Even the 4:3 DVDs have a better sound design. Maybe it's too soon after just finishing the series but coming back later to enjoy the wide screen and sharpness and touchups is nice. Maybe it even just fronts the important bits before getting to End.

The 30-minute EoE preview was bundled with the "Death" recap in a package known as "Evangelion: Death & Rebirth," but this is just Death -- but with some enhancements, thus "Death (True)2." Perfectly simple!

I paid $30 for the DVD when I was in college

And since we're joking about it, shall we watch the Rebuild series on Fanfare too?

That's probably a good idea. Since they're not on streaming I don't know if there will be as many people seeing them, or maybe they are and I just haven't looked?
