Watching this episode it occurred to me that Lena is going down a path similar to Lex on Smallville. Both started out as not necessarily evil people who turned dark as they lost their trust in their friends and family.

Also, lucky for Lena's plan that Supergirl totally forgot to check if she was okay after she had to rush off to stop Rip Roar from escaping the DEO.

Finally, an on-screen neck snapping? Has Supergirl shown such a graphic scene before? Any has this season of the Arrowverse been more graphic/gory than previous seasons? We had the neck snapping here, the skin removal on Batwoman last week, the Flash and Killer Frost soaked in exploding zombie goo (that was played for laughs) a few weeks ago...
