This movie's script has been kicking around Hollywood for 20 years and this was the best they could come up with? Ugh. It's extremely predictable, the CGI for the Fresh Prince of Assassins doesn't look great, the fight scenes have this weird video gamey quality, and there's a fucking irritating scene where young Will Smith makes Mary Elizabeth Winstead strip down to her underwear for... well, you know the real reason, but ostensibly to make sure she's not wearing a wire? Because he's committing.... a... crime? About the only redeeming thing about this film is Benedict Wong is pretty fun, per usual, and Winstead is doing her best with some pretty weak material, and at least gets do some ass kicking of her own.

Skip this.

Just watched this a few days ago. Yeah, there's a video gamey quality to the CGI-enhanced fights, but that's not unique to Gemini Man (heck, watch any of the DCU movies) and I still found them enjoyable.

I was pleased to see the movie avoiding damsel-in-distress tropes. Mary Elizabeth Winstead's character was nicely bad-ass.

I even loved Clive Owen's American-accented scenery chewing. This is the first movie I can recall seeing with him as the villain and he approached the character with gusto.

This is not a smart movie, but I don't think it's a BAD movie.
