When I saw the preview for this show, my jaw dropped and I haven't quite picked it up since. A show created by and starring a fat, middle-aged butch dyke ... and co-starring a trans man (both the character and the actor)? Is this real life? It's also just a really great, funny, human show.

I do think the Chris character could be a bit of a manic pixie dream boy, and if the genders were reversed, I'd be up in feminist arms. But they have a sweet connection, and I actually know a few queer couples like this, so it resonated.
