So far, watched the first 3 episodes... and 3 for 3... sniff...
Bittersweet, hopeful - beautiful.

I've watched the first three with the fam and I'm sure we'll end up watching the rest of them. They're very enjoyable so far but my goodness some of the dialogue is so clunky, and the characters drawn so shallowly, most likely because of the episode length (~30 minutes). Even an extra 10 minutes per episode would have added so much. Still, I like what they're doing with these.

So I mostly loved it? In fact several of them (almost) made me cry at the end the episodes. I liked the optimism of the whole show, the stories were great, so were the actors and the characters. "The Silence" was a bit gimmicky — as one review pointed it out, it's essentially a half-hour setup for a joke, but even that kind of pays off.
Most of all, it was heartwarming and that's what I loved about it the most. I think there is a place for this show even if immigration to America has turned into a much bigger nightmare lately than it already was.
