Bjorn faces a difficult decision. Ubbe and Torvi leave Kattegat, in search of new lands and perhaps old friends. Oleg's plans for the invasion of Scandinavia are taking shape, and King Harald is baffled by the origin of a mysterious raiding party.

"It doesn't rain, but when it does - it pours" applied to Bjorn's decision making. Gunnhild is brutal but completely in the right and the absolute high hand - Bjorn's sense of justice in humiliating his enemies but letting them live wasn't well done, and now he's done it again with Hvitserk.
Then Torvi taking her fair pound of flesh from Bjorn, too.
Throw in Iceland dude cutting loose from Bjorn, also. But what was with his David Lynch dark portents at the end?
