Friends at the Table: PARTIZAN 07: Ambush in the Sand and 08: Under the Boughs of the Court

Lots of talk about callsigns and lots of herding cats as The Society of Banners and Bright Returns takes on their second mission.

The ashen/hypha make a definite return with a lot of information for our heroes, but only if they can complete a mission quietly. Valence learns cyberstalking. Thisbe hurls a tree at a dude. Broun looks a gift horse directly in the mouth.

Dre tried to do something near the end of the second episode and I was like "What the hell even are you, bro? I don't know anything about you!" and then seconds later Austin responded to Dre something like "I don't know, CAN you do that? I don't know anything about your species!" and it really feels good when a very curious host has the same questions I do.

At this point I'm only really attached to Thisbe (Janine) from this crew but I bet the next mission they get is going to have some real backstory meat.

I do hope it's not six months until we can mix up the teams a little.

I like Thisbe but sometimes her schtick comes off as a little Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer to me.

Agreed. I appreciate that Janine seems a little annoyed by the limitations and is trying to not make it seem too much like a previous robot character so I think she'll start evolving Thisbe in some interesting directions.

By the way, the unofficial wiki for this season is up and seems to have a few moderately active editors, which is great because I had a zero percent chance of remembering this group's team name without looking it up.

as a member of the RPG community i promise you my groundbreaking RPG podcast will be gay and extremely distressing to listen to. it will be a system no one has ever heard of. it will be pure anti-clout

yoiu are just describing friends of the table

not even close. Friends at the Table is many, many systems that not a damn soul has ever heard of. Some of which I didn't buy after hearing them play it.
