A physician who can talk to animals embarks on an adventure to find a legendary island with a young apprentice and a crew of strange pets.
The instant I found out about this movie, all I could think of was the other idiosyncratic and risky family-oriented film spearheaded by its formerly washed-up star immediately on the heels of his Hollywood redemption, Troy McClure's The Contrabulous Fabtraption of Professor Horatio Hufnagel. (There is nothing The Simpsons didn't predict. It is the oracle of our times.)

Does anyone know what accent RDJ was going for there? The best my family could figure out was "all of the United Kingdom and possibly some commonwealth countries, all at various times".
Aside from RDJ's varying accent it was, y'know, a family friendly movie. The animals were fun, the story was straightforward enough, I've certainly seen worse.
High bar, I know.
