Oh, Mordecai. Mordecai, Mordecai, Mordecai. I really feel bad for him. Margaret broke his heart, but he bounced back and really grown as a person. Now she blows back into town and he has to play it cool even though he's feeling anything but. And of course he Mordecais it all up.

I'll give Quintel this, he's not afraid to lay something heavy on his characters and thus on us in the audience. He better not leave me hanging until spring to get some resolution on this though.

Is this the first episode with Rigby kissing Eileen?

I really hope Mordecai sticks with CJ, she's been a better fit than Margaret was.

I completely agree. C.J. has been so good for Mordecai. I really hope she doesn't just get all thunderstormy and gives him a chance to explain how he really feels. I think he cares more about C.J. than he ever did about Margaret, but there's something about an old flame.

I think Rigby and Eileen have shown each other affection before, but maybe that is the first time they've been shown kissing. Although it was just a peck on the cheek. Not that it matters either way because Rigby is still completely clueless and immature.

That's kind of what I mean about Quintel being unafraid to face big things in his wacky cartoon. Mordecai has mostly grown up over the last couple of seasons. Rigby though is still where he was in high school, e.g. S5E18 "Rigby in the Sky With Burrito." It's become a real source of tension between Mordecai and Rigby this season. Mordo know's he's leaving Rigby behind, but I don't think Rigby realizes it.

More interesting to me is that somehow they have done this without changing the overall tone of the show. Unlike Adventure Time which somehow seems to have sacrificed some of the fun and become somewhat more dark and serious in the last season or so.
